Carlton has a new fascination, thanks to a recent outing he went on with his Poppy.  He's already very into anything relating to cars, so this was big-time entertainment.  He has told me repeatedly since then that our van is dirty and probably needs a wash :)

What a lovely month it's been for playing outdoors!  I think I am still getting used to the pleasant and sunny weather of the south, after our stint in rainy Seattle :)

A first

We signed Carlton up for a little gymnastics class this fall - the first 'activity' he's done on his own.  The parents sit in a separate room with a large window, so we can watch the class, but we are not permitted in the gym with the kids.  It was a big step for Carlton that first day, to follow his teacher into the gym and wave goodbye to me, but he has loved it ever since.  He loves to show Mark his new gymnastics skills at home.  I don't have many great pictures yet, but I did snap a couple on the first day during the 'warm-up' time (and hope to get some more before it's over!)
