Almost Spring

We are sooooo ready for spring around here!  We've had a few glimpses lately, which we are quick to take advantage of.

On an especially warm Sunday afternoon, we got down to the tennis courts to give Carlton's new racket some practice.  He made some pretty good contact with the ball!

And Clara tagged along with her wiffle ball bat, ha.  Still easily entertained :)

First things

Just to record a few of Ezra's firsts...

First time in the Bumbo seat.

First time in the jumper (with a blanket for support, which he didn't really need).

First snow outfit.

And first time at the front of the church, for his baptism!  Feb 23, 2014.  Really special day for our family!  Thankful to God for his grace to us all.

Cabin

For a second year, we got to retreat to the Blue Ridge mountains for a weekend at the cabin with our great friends Em and Jake and their three girls.  A winter weekend meant lots of fun snowy outside time,

And lots of warm snuggly inside time.  All the kiddos in the loft (minus the wee babe),

Dads holding court during storytime,

 

and of course, s'mores over the fire :)

So thankful for these dear, dear friends!  What a refreshing weekend.

Three little Valentines.  One grateful mama!

Four months old

Our sweet boy at four months!  Ezra is a bundle of joy.  So good-natured and quick with a smile, which lights up his sparkly blue eyes.  A champ eater and sleeper, with only the occasional wake-up at night.  He plays contentedly and is so easygoing in every setting we're in.  It's hard to imagine our family without Ezzie!

She's growing up
