Field Trip 2
Our second field trip was on a rainy weekend, so Mark got to join us as we headed back to Fernbank for their Queen of Sheba exhibit, focusing on the Middle East and Arabic culture. We got to pet a baby camel,
make clay sculptures (Carlton made a camel, while Clara opted for a snake),

and have their names written in Arabic calligraphy. And of course, the museum's dinosaur mascot was on hand for hugs :)

Field Trip 1
In the midst of a long rainy stretch this month, we were fortunate to find a couple of great indoor field trips to enjoy. The Lego Land Americana road show came to a mall near us, so we went to see an exhibit of amazing Lego models of well-known American monuments and buildings with historical significance. The kids enjoyed marveling at the constructions, as they learned bits and pieces about each. Here are just a few:
And they really enjoyed the build-your-own Lego race car station :)
