A few shots from this month that stand alone, but are worth sharing...
Our dear friend Henry's two-year-old birthday party was a sweet time. The only shot I have is this one, which captures the delight of the older kids at cake time (Hannah's delicious carrot cake!).
On a different food note, we served salsa as a condiment for a Mexican dinner recently, and Clara could not get enough. Literally. She picked up the salsa container and started swigging the last drops, straight up. It was so hilarious and surprising, we had to break out the camera! I guess our girl likes some spice!
Clara has recently really started loving playing dress-up, and on this particular day Carlton joined in. Here he is, blinged-out (and not really sure of the purpose of that leotard in his hands, clearly).

Front porch sittin'
We don't have any furniture for our front porch yet, but we still spend time there :) With such a wonderful neighborhood, it really is fun to be out greeting neighbors. (Shortly after these photos were taken, some neighbors joined us on our porch!) The camera originally came out to document me in my full-term preggo state (this is 12 days before the due date!), and then was a fun opportunity to get some family shots. Soon to be family-of-five :)

Parks
September is also terrific park and picnic time! A few recent shots from our trusty neighborhood park....
One beautiful Saturday evening we decided to venture out a little further in search of a park (all of 10 minutes across town) to Piedmont Park - the largest, grandest park in Atlanta. We picked up a pizza and had a picnic dinner on a lovely hillside, followed by lots of hill running, jumping and flopping for the kiddos. Despite these particular faces, they loved the special dinner!

Zoo
September is a great month for the zoo! Not as hot, and the crowds are minimal, as schools haven't started taking their field trips yet. We took advantage this month and went a couple of times with good friends. Here are the kiddos with our new friends Jake and Hannah - everyone trying to read their maps, and posing with the lions, of course.
On a different day we got to go with two great neighbors and their kids. Everyone in the birds' nest, for a brief moment! Henry and Caleb, Reese and Riley, Carlton and Clara. Carlton still reading his map.
Hanging out. I guess she'd seen enough of those pandas behind her :)

Baby celebration
My sweet mom threw a luncheon in honor of our little baby boy who's about to arrive. It was a wonderful afternoon with two dear friends (Hannah and Em), family (Mom, Kristin, Eden and Eden's mother), and a long time family friend (Candy). I felt very honored by these women, and so appreciate their sharing in our joy at welcoming our third very soon!
