Meme and Poppy

My parents came in town for a visit the first part of this month, and we all had a blast. We hung out around the house as Carlton performed his new tricks, and of course, got lots of loving from his Poppy and Meme. (In the photo below, he's making his new favorite sound, "ooo" - as in 'ooo and ahhh' - he does it all the time right now!)

We took a couple of fun excursions to downtown Seattle - to Pioneer Square,

and to the locks in Ballard, where they regulate the flow of ship (and salmon!) traffic between the Puget Sound and Lake Washington. It's actually a pretty cool process to watch, and one of Seattle's most popular tourist attractions.

And then we spent some great time at the park two blocks from our house - always a favorite with our little boy.


It was, once again, a WONDERFUL visit and such sweet time with my parents.
