Recently we had a cookout with the families from my neighborhood mom's group - the first time the dads all joined us in our get-togethers. It was fun for Mark to get to meet all of my friends and babies I've talked about over these past months, and we got a few good family photo opps.
Carlton had a blast seeing his little friends, and they all showed off their new tricks they're learning as they grow up. In this sequence, Carlton is watching Eli crawl...
So Mark and I try to help Carlton get the mechanics, like his friend....
but it still doesn't take. Back to the tummy.
Carlton gives Eli a high-five for his good performance,
then decides he's more interested in exploring in other ways, namely with the mouth.
Carlton did discover some shiny sandals at the party that he wanted very badly...
and it turns out he was not the only baby who did!
