We had our friends from our community group over for brunch on Saturday, a farewell meeting for us as we are going to be shortly beginning a community group with the new church plant, All Souls. With four babies born in this group in a four-month window (one couldn't make it this day), we've been taking photos of them as they grow up together. I just had to share this one sequence of action as Carlton chills out on the couch with his two friends Allistaire and Phoebe. Everything starts out fun as the three take turns pushing and pulling on each other.
Then Allistaire decides it's more than she can handle :( Phoebe meanwhile is still trying to eat Carlton's shirt.
Carlton takes pity on Allistaire's unhappy state,
and even tries to comfort her, which works momentarily.
But then the big siblings join the couch photo shoot, which shakes Allistaire up again.....and now Carlton gets unsure.
The fun photo shoot now goes downhill quickly for our little guy....
Until, last frame, the all-out protest/get-me-off-this-couch moment. It was so funny to watch happen, and so predictable, we just couldn't stop taking pictures. But I promise, I really did go rescue him at this moment, and all was well again :)
